ABOUT US
Chubbies is the burger joint Hawai’i has been waiting for. High-quality and locally-sourced ingredients, always made to order, served hot & fresh every time. We strive to serve the best ingredients at a reasonable price.
About the burgers: premium angus beef, smashed on a traditional griddle, the patty cooks fast and stays juicy while being seared. Tender and delicious, that beef gets topped with fresh produce, homemade sauce, and gets tucked into a made-in-house potato bun.
OUR Story
We started serving our simple menu of burgers and fries in the summer of 2016.
Our food truck moved around Honolulu; you could find us all over the place. We have great memories of doing Eat the Street food truck festival, serving our food alongside local craft beers at The Brewseum, staying out late to feed hungry Pokemon-Go players in Kakaako, and being beachside down at Sandy’s.
The goal was to showcase a burger worthy of being called classic: no gimmicks, no processed junk. Simple and limited, but consistent and handmade. Eventually hundreds of burgers a week turned into thousands.
our future
We are looking at opening more brick & mortar locations, and have our eyes on a spot in the Kaka’ako area- that would open in 2023.
At this time, we are not operating or planning to operate any food trucks or mobile units.
We’re always working hard to constantly improve our quality and consistency, in both food and service.
Keeping up with demand has kept us very busy! But we are always making steps towards growing the company vision. Follow us for updates and drop us a line if you’d like to get involved.
